Personal life
Shihan, the family's eldest child, was born in Weliweriya on March 18, 1985. His mother Nilu Mallika is a homemaker, while his father Tyronne Bennet was a sound engineer who had previously worked in Bahrain. Shanika Mihiravi, his sister, is alive. He attended Kandana's De Mazenod College to study.
On February 25, 2012, Gishni Clementa Silva and Shihan tied the knot.The church where the wedding took place was St. Mary's in Nayakakanda, Hendala. Clementa is the daughter of Shihan's school's PTI, Upali Silva. The two sons of the marriage.
Dengue infection sent Shihan to the hospital in critical condition in 2017, but she recovered with therapy. Nevertheless, a number of untrue tales claimed his death.
Career
He applied for Sirasa Superstar, the singing reality show, during its first season. Twelve men were chosen to compete in Sri Lanka's first reality show. While Mihiranga was the most popular star of the show, she finished fifth in the competition. He performed majority of the songs written by Rookantha Gunathilake, such as As-Deka Piyana, Mama Ehewwa Horen, Nihanda Mawathey, and Suwanda Dena Mal Waney.
Dreams of Shihan, his debut album, was released in 2006, following his victory in the competition. He wrote and composed the music for every song, which went on to become quite famous with young people. That year, the album was also awarded Most Popular Album. Then, in 2008, he published Dreamz 2-My Life, his second album, which features music and lyrics by various artists.
